Help please! I updated the plugin for wordpress and now images aren't posting to mastodon.

Anyone know why/how to fix? See @illmarks for an example.

I tried adjusting the media attachment number and it made things worse.

Thanks for this Gregory :)

I'm sure a lot of folks will be interested in what you've been doing toward this rollout of groups on

I'm unable to pull this up and boost here. Was able to get the whole stream on a Glitch-soc box np, and I can follow the curator here too, but I'm too tired to try testing on Hubzilla or Friendica at the moment; so I'll just post the link then, which may be of interest to some, ... Actually, I suspect, many.

We've had some discussions about this over in the Fediverse-City Matrix room, Where Ryan is also a participant. It's apropos of the recent onboarding with respect to Flipboard curators and also the nacent interoperability we're experiencing with Bluesky's ATP.

Baby steps folks, baby steps, as they say ;)

I'm interested in hearing any feedback you may have to offer and as always, boosts are welcome :)

😂 That was odd! When I mentioned @darnell on my blog, it pinged my account on my iPhone even though is not yet activated (I received a push notification, which later revealed nothing 😆).

If it pings again via , I might do various tests upon other accounts (like & ).

Are there any blogging services that automatically slice up long posts into 500-character (maximum), threaded posts when you publish? I like the idea of an ActivityPub compatible blog but I know a lot of people (myself included) aren't wild about huge, 10K character posts showing up on their feed.
I can imagine a service like this that provides a clean looking article when viewed on the originating site, but provides threaded posts on the federated TL.
Maybe this already exists?

However, they are written for Fedify 0.8.0, which hasn't been released yet. You can test it with the pre-release version, 0.8.0-dev.164, though.

Okay, so another set of stats now that April is over.

As I've said before, I am posting concurrently to Pixefed and Instagram to see what the differences are.

Let's break it down by month first. Here are average likes by month for the year to date:
January - Insta 20 / Pixelfed 8
February - Insta 21 / Pixelfed 8
March - Insta 27 / Pixelfed 11
April - Insta 26 / Pixelfed 9

Year to date, we're averaging 23.7 likes per post on Insta and 9.1 likes per post on Pixelfed.

But, this is a thread, so let's go deeper.

Groups of people just coming up with new ideas, new designs, new innovations.

Not Google vs Apple vs Facebook and no one else.

This is pretty amazing. This list has grown tremendously since I started checking out the in I think like 2017. This just blows me away and makes me excited again for the internet.

I was thinking what would it look like if a Flohmarkt instance pulled in a @bookwyrm book to list as an item to sell. How would that make the most sense to represent through ?

I just had a radio flavored idea. lets say I wanted to share a list of radio stations I like listening to: What if I had a list of them and each one was marked up in AP as a favorite that was linked to being a favorite of my account here maybe with rel="me" but like rel"my-stations" or something. and then other fediverse accounts could follow my list & automatically receive a OPML, PLS or M3U with all my stations that they could open in Transister or VLC or any app that supported it

Ghost wejdzie do #Fedi !

Reposts are now done in . You can only make "quote-posts", not Announce reposts because Announce is too confusing and doesn't fit my vision. However, Announce reposts are no longer this half-assed thing like they were before. They now show up in people's profiles and use a different icon from my native reposts.

Also: new UI for likes.

I was looking at implementing with a while back, and I admittedly struggled and lost my enthusiasm for the project. However, I have found @mapache explanations and tutorials incredibly helpful and intuitive.

I am following his guide here: https://maho.dev/2024/02/a-guide-to-implement-activitypub-in-a-static-site-or-any-website/

DasBlog is not static so some of this does not apply, but enough does, and for the rest I can easily overlap gaps with the rich blogging engine. I am currently on step 5, this is happening!
