Today is the 7th anniversary of my #NissanLeaf. We are getting a fresh charge at a public charging station this morning, as I don't have my own home charger.
As an early adopter, I have been trying to use my knowledge to advocate for the #ElectricVehicles transition. I'm sorry to say we still aren't ready...
Anyway, I love my #EV. I'm happy to have not been to a gas station in 7 years. I like having a giant battery in my basement for emergencies. I still dream of the promise of the #Leaf as #EmergencyPreparedness backup.
But widespread adoption has barriers at this time.

In a world often characterized by constant hustle and the pursuit of perfection, I prefer a refreshing perspective— an ode to the beauty of simplicity and imperfection, celebrating the inherent beauty found in the imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete aspects of life and finding beauty in the natural cycle of growth and decay.
Have a nice day! and enjoy the moments.
Leaf Subsides to Leaf -

It's mid-November and here in VA most of the color has left the leaves, but here's a bit of color from a few years ago. This is from the grove of trees at mile marker 8 in Shenandoah.
The green part of this oak leaf didn’t get the “autumn memo” because of the activity of Ectoedemia heringi leaf miners.
The miner blocks off the chlorophyll return valves in the leaf with the help of some bacteria, extending the growing season for the larva 🐛
It's known by many wonderful names such as 'Pili Pili', 'Bird's eye', 'Peri Peri' or just 'Piri Piri' but it's the same hot chili that is good both fresh or dried. Just a few more weeks before harvest…
