@popey Speaking as a member of #OldPeopleOfMastodon I got a little annoyed by this. But yes it is funny. #LinuxMint is a nice clean distro that "just works". That's why I use it.

it has been almost a year since I have returned to using #Linux And it was only today (in fact a few minutes ago) that I have discoveried I can run websites as apps in #LinuxMint using #Firefox without any plugins.
I must say I have drank one can of beer since I came home from work but still, I am mesmerized about this.
Of course one can choose the browser they use for this.

Having USB hotplug issues with kernel 6.5.0-18-generic. Sometimes when I unplug a USB3 device it takes down USB hotplug until the next reboot. AMD Ryzen/Matisse platform.
Anyone know of a workaround? #Linux#linuxmint

Benutzt eigentlich jemand noch Pidgin? Hier laufen gerade wegen Telefonverschrottung zum ersten Mal seit über zehn Jahren wieder Messenger auf dem Desktop (abgesehen von so Workywork-Plattformen) und ich merke: Es war ja gar nicht alles schlecht damals in den Nullerjahren.
@platypus ich nutze eigentlich ausschließlich Messenger, die (auch) auf Desktop und Multi-Device laufen (alles andere wäre mir auch viel zu unpraktisch, wenn ich alles übers Mäusekino machen sollte... @herr_powl#Pidgin ist tatsächlich u.a. bei #LinuxMint weiterhin vorinstalliert. Hatte es auch mal ausprobiert, aber irgendwas lief nicht so richtig...
Nutze aber schon länger für diverse Accounts (Messenger, meine Fedi-Accounts und ein paar Foren) #Ferdium https://ferdium.org/

upgraded my #linuxMint distro last week and am now discovering what it broke... i'll still take this over a mac, i spent two days setting up a work macbook for dev and i still can't get finder to consistently show me my own user home folder. x.x
