[How does Fedora look and feel so much better than MacOS ever did on this device?]

@brainofdane @passthejoe Indeed. I have 6 Macs in my house, and 3 of them run . I really only keep on my iMac because of the outstanding apps, on my wife’s for the Silhouette software, and my mother’s Mac mini because she’s 82.

I have a Mac mini running server and for , , , & , and two MacBooks that are part of a pile of 5 laptops I use for . None are newer than 2015.

Trying out Ivory on the . Just like @MonaApp, it has no language selection in the composer window.

@ivory: Why is there no language selection button in the composer window? This is one of the very essential functions. Please add that.

@santiago @MonaApp @MaJ1 @tootapp Btw., this is what happens when I do as suggests. It fails to mention that this is a only method of entering codes. I’m not sure whether can do that, but an can’t, because has other means of accessing special characters.

That is how we now know it: Fix two bugs or security issues, and add ten more. Sigh.

Saw a boost from @jwz yesterday about Xscreensaver being broken on Ventura... and realized I hadn't seen a BSOD since upgrading.

Just checked System Preferences -> Screen Saver and got this, followed by a completely empty Screen Saver panel in prefs. I can't even pick one of the standard macOS savers, there's nothing there.

Reloading the Screen Saver prefs seems to bring back all the things, and I can preview my favourite BSOD screen saver. Maybe it'll work now?

Another small, yet important improvement in is that it now remembers the location and size of separate Album and Catalog windows.

You knew that you can show the contents of Catalogs, or folders, or entire Albums in separate windows in NeoFinder?

Good news:

Finally gotten #MissRirica to work on the #MacOS side of things! (Which will also translate to #Android if I use that version).

Bad News:

A. Ya need to generate an access token from the #Misskey instance you’re on via the web interface among the ‘Settings’ section.
B. Not surprisingly, the app’s interface is… Um…

Talkback 1.6-like?

hello, i've shared a gist of the from ICON, an intel workstation i use for creative work and research.

it runs among other things: Lightroom Classic, Lightroom CC, Photoshop/Bridge, Affinity, iMovie, Handbrake, but also gets used for virtualization, duty ( 💪 and ), some amateur radio stuff and tooling for same.

ICON does too much, honestly, but if anyone is curious what sort of tools i use, this is basically it.

Did you know that the XMP Editor in can remember the last 30 entries you add to each metadata field, and offer them to you when typing?

That makes it so much easier to add meaningful descriptions or metadata to your photos and videos.
