I find that a good half my game prep is me cut and pasting the campaign and any extra resources I have into a better format. I absolutely hate when there is information in the back of a book that you need in each chapter. Just put it in the damn chapter where it comes up.
Which reminds me I need to figure out the obsidian linking feature.
I heavily use 5etools for all my 5e adventures for this reason. #pf2e#pathfinder2e#ttrpg#dnd5e#5e
Does anyone know of any good podcasts that discus #pathfinder2e mechanics and maybe the Lost Omens setting?
I'm specifically NOT looking for an actual play; those aren't my bag. I'd also like discussions of #ttrpg mechanics and settings that are not D&D in general.
Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're pretty likely to either talk about or respond to if you see them.
This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.
Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.
I do #worldbuiding with a focus away from Good/Evil and more on incompatible world views. A lot of time spent on magic as fantasy physics and its consequences.
I run a lot of #Knave and steal inspiration from the #OSR. I enjoy #Ryuutama but don't play it much. I consider #Pathfinder2e to be an acceptable if a bit complicated game. I enjoy #ChroniclesOfDarkness. I use a lot of narrative ideas but I'm not overly fond of Fate or Genesys (but I do own them.)
@LeviKornelsen I go on a lot about #DnD4E, #Pathfinder2e, #NSR/post-#OSR type stuff (whatever that is), #FitD, and weird one-page RPGs that evoke way beyond what their word count suggests.
Want an even more auspicious start for #pathfinder2e?
Grab these expansions to the Beginners Box for more character options!
Because let's be clear, part of the fun of the system is simply the DIVERSITY of CHOICE!
New instance, new #introduction. Originated on @themadcodger, but migrated to @madcodger because I wanted to try #calckey out over mastodon. I ended up preferring it, and while I still have my masto account, haven't really gone back. I've been wanting to get off of the big server for a while now, so I'm looking to make a home elsewhere. Hopefully here.
At any rate, I'm just a guy in the #PNW that likes going on adventures and #travel, #hiking, and #backpacking. I'm also into #Board Games and #ttrpg, specifically #Pathfinder2e / #pf2e. Online, I try to keep up on #privacy and local/national #politics without being overwhelmed or depressed... which is not easy to do.
I've got a black #cat named Nef, and sometimes find time for #baking and #knitting, though not as much anymore.
My fetchling psychic Eclipse has the Dandy dedication and that gives him the Influence Rumor action. He rolled a crit success on it last time he used it so now he's the conductor of the Toxic Gossip Train.
Hi I'm Cashew! I don't use social media a lot, but wanted to try Mastadon for a new experience. I like GMing for #pathfinder2e and #dnd5e. I also play plenty of video games like #ffxiv and #monsterhunter. Some of my favorite #anime are ReZero, Dr. Stone, and Violet Evergarden.
Can't wait to converse with you all!
The artist behind the 4724 Men of Golarion calendar is probably going to be banned from entering at least two nations on Golarion because of this. But sacrifices must be made to continue celebrating Golarion's longest-lasting gay couple.
@ParanoidAndroid@supersonicstork I love how #Pathfinder2e is designed to allow the player to 'feel' their character get better as they level up. (Apparently not yours though, you're doing GREAT!)
Things like the slowly increasing proficiency bonus, feats that come online to make things easier (example: Quick Draw), and how the T/E/M/L levels bump up what's important to the character for a noticeable boost.
A boost that works because the math is so very well done.
2e players and GMs, tell me about your campaigns!
I just found this community today and figured I'd kick off some discussion about what people are playing!...
