Three weeks of vacation ends today. It's been rainy and stormy and grey and it never really felt like Summer. I did get a bit of sun this week incl. this pretty sunset 🌅
Weird feeling: not at all ready to return to work, but 100% ready to return to a daily routine.
For #SunsetSunday a view from the hotel we stayed in on the island of #Kos in 2020. Our room faced due west so we would sit out on the balcony in the evening before dinner just watching the sun disappear behind the palm trees around the resort and turning the sky to fire.
This is #Sandown on the #IsleofWight It's a tourist hotspot and the beach is usually pretty crowded in the summer.
This isn't the case during the winter and my husband had the beach to himself when he took this view. Well, except that I was there too 😄
Despite my hashtag I've just remembered that it was a #sunrise !!
Hopefully #SunsetSunday will become a thing on here and I thought I'd add one of my husband's photos as a contribution.
This is the west coast of the #IsleofWight photographed during one of the most extreme sunsets I've ever witnessed. Our son said it looked like a volcano had erupted in the sky!
