Exciting news! The Ubuntu Community is now on Matrix. As of today, we're now fully federated with the rest of "The Matrix"! Anyone can join the party 🎉

Did you know that you can also find the Ubuntu HPC community on Matrix? We're an active group supercomputing professionals that meet every Wednesday over Jitsi. Just look for hpc:ubuntu.com when exploring rooms.

Hope to see you there with the rest of the Ubuntu Community 😎

Publishes Its Own List
China's lack of submissions underscores separation of Chinese from global . But even China's own list does not include country's fastest computers; upper echelons of China's supercomputing remains shrouded in secrecy. 21 out of Top 50 were deployed in last 2yr, indicating China's supercomputesr continue to develop rather rapidly despite US efforts to contain the country's advances.

#NASA missions delayed by #supercomputing shortcomings
NASA's old #supercomputers are causing mission delays — NASA's supercomputers still rely primarily on #CPU, and one of its flagship supercomputers uses 18,000 CPUs and 48 #GPU. NASA's Office of Inspector General report suggests that transitioning to GPUs and #code modernization is essential for meeting NASA's current and future needs.
