Je viens d'écouter ce podcast : "Geeks, trolls et cie" des Couilles sur la table.
Ça déblaye pas mal le sujet des mascu, des violences sexistes sur Internet, du harcèlement, etc. et donc aussi il est question de la modération et des algorithmes. Ça reste la base de la base mais il y a plein de gens qui ne l'ont pas donc c'est intéressant !
J'aime bien l'idée d'arrêter de parler de "vie réelle" puisque ce qui se passe sur Internet, c'est la vie réelle ; et donc de plutôt parler de vie numérique VS vie physique.
Et j'aime aussi l'idée d'arrêter de parler de "trolls", ce qui a tendance à dédouaner les mecs de leur responsabilité.
"Oh mais ça va, c'est juste un troll" comme le "Oh mais ça va, c'est juste une blague", alors que non !

Troll offices are usually divided into 4 sections:
Trolls who use taunts to enrage people
A section (X) on social media that (unsuccessfully) tries to defend arguments or opinions that Russians want to oppose or suppress
A section (Y) that successfully discuss with (X) proving (x) are wrong
(making believe that they are real conversations where 'reason or truth' prevails')
I seem to be dealing with a troll website this morning. The downloads start really fast, then they slow down, then they slow down, then they slow down... rinse and repeat.
The end result is that the download will never complete.
I don't recall how we describe that mathematically.

Tak więc ten szczególny przypadek jest przejawem szerszego zjawiska związanego ze specyficznym zniekształceniem poznawczym.
Ludziom, w tym politykom, wydaje się, że jeśli czegoś jest dużo w internecie, to odzwierciedla to poglądy jakiejś większości. Jeśli pod jakimś tekstem mamy wysyp hejterskich komentarzy, to wygląda to pozornie na „głos ludu”. Politycy, którzy generalnie są oportunistami, boją się tego rodzaju emocji ze strony osób, które uważają za zaplecze wyborcze swojej formacji. Wydaje im się, że spadną ze stołka, jeśli zapadnie taki wyrok „tłumów” z Twittera.

On that last one though, are you referring to the tendency of having single file components in svelte & vue? Using utility first CSS? Because it would then feel like the core principle of HTML pages containing CSS and JS would be wrong…
The BBC's experiment with Mastodon is pathbreaking in English-language news -- a major organization setting up its own instance. They've really thought this through. Key language:
