23 years ago today, I sat dumbfounded and depressed in my car in a parking lot for hours after hearing the SCOTUS handing down the antidemocratic end to the FL recount that gave GW Bush the presidency over Al Gore who won the popular vote by 500000, about the size of Sacramento.

Ronald Reagan had increasingly debilitating Alzheimer's for his entire second term. The people around him were able to manipulate him. He was a puppet.
As far as the GOP Is concerned, Trump's brain being mush is an asset, not a liability.
If he wins, they'll manipulate him into appointing evil people, and then those people will manipulate him to achieve their evil goals.

I honestly think that a similar situation happened with George W .Bush, who only thought he was in charge, but was really being used to settle old scores at the persuasive behest of his father's advisors.

I've been working at this theater on and off for 30 years. In that time I've played multiple genders; I've also played kangaroos, weasels, and chairs. There's never been an agenda, other than if a part needs playing and you're not on stage, you do it. But some Spring Branch Becky flipped the fuck out and went on a gender war.

Most parents didn't even realize why the field trip was canceled.

    Today I discovered Raze, an app that lets you run Duke Nukem 3D. On an Apple Silicon Mac. At wicked fast speeds using the Vulcan API.

    I bought Duke Nukem oh so many years ago, and the disk is long-ago gone … but you need a couple files from the original disks to play. Or you need archive.org and a bit of sleuthing ability.

    Such a fun game, and the precursor of so many modern first person shooters!

    These same guys, Team Beef, have been releasing a slow but steady stream of VR conversions of classic games, like Doom, and Half-Life. If you already own the games you've got all you need, some files from the game folders. Or you can pick them up very cheap on Steam.
