Also, an insurance company’s cut makes more sense when you consider the cost of traveling between parallel worlds.

    Just saw Oppenheimer. Somewhat mixed reaction.

    Utterly gorgeous, and definitely deserves and benefits from a proper theatrical screening. Story is compelling and relevant, and the oerformances are terrific. Three hours goes by quickly.

    But I think the edit was rather a muddle. It often felt like a three hour trailer for itself - series of short cuts, each ending on a quotable, profound line, with the score often overwhelming the action. It's like it didn't trust itself with the material.

    @mattblaze I saw it yesterday with 2 people who were vocal about their 3-hour movie qualms, and they were rapt. I have to credit the editing.
    I was blown away that Nolan was able to tell the whole story. I'll go back to see it in 70mm.

    Years ago we found a cocoon, put it in an open jar, and did a little home nature lesson for the kids. And forgot about it.
    Time passed, and my daughter woke up to a cecropia moth hanging off the bottom of her beside lamp.
    I will never unhear that scream.
