ich teste gerade mal mastodon auf aus.

Am besten gefällt mir im moment . Ein guter funktionsumfang, schnell und komfortabel zu bedienen.

Danach kommt bei mir dir offizielle app. Sie ist vergleichbar. Mir fehlt dort aber das folgen von sehr.

Dann gibt es noch . Diese hat leider sehr wenige funktionen und und ist bei mir langsam. Der einzige pluspunkt ist das .

Interessant finde ich auch .->

ist perfekt für geeks, die sehr viele funktionen nutzen und alles für sie massgeschneidert einstellen möchten.
Man kann sich detailliert einstellen, was man in seinen sehen möchte. Und einzigartig gut ist, dass man sogar ganzen folgen kann.

Other thing that comes as a surprise is that Mastodon folks (as of right now) are mostly fact and discourse oriented people instead of feel-good photo diary, travelling and such - those don't get much "likes" or "attention" or comments here, at least that's what I have noticed. Many care about those superficial metrics.

Statements, discussion about tech, social media, AI and politics get more traction but if you saw a butterfly and posted a photo of it, that is "meh" for many. It's a turn off for grandparents who just want to post pictures of their flowers. #X

@rolle i guess it depends on the part of the fediverse youre in. I bet there are whole instances for flower and animal lovers at mastodon. Plus there are also the fediverse applications who are created for sharing photos, videos etc.

There is of course another approach to this. Simply refuse to change mentions of on webpages, etc. at all. Given that "X" is essentially unsearchable (super genius there, Elon), just leaving Twitter intact as the label until the firm folds completely seems a viable option. And that might not take very long relatively.

Musk is apparently imminently changing the logo from the blue bird (which Twitter long said was a key asset) to some form of X. More appropriate would be EX, because that's what the endgame will be for Twitter on its current path.

Question for non-English speakers

Does Clickbait 'translate'? As in, we English speakers are regularly bombarded with guff like "You won't believe what [celeb X] looks like now" or "One health hack to lose weigh" etc.

Do other languages get the same? Or does it vary, according to the rules of the other languages?
