Those are my basic needs.

Another item I miss from my Navy days: I can't find a yellow, wooden handle, non-folding, utility knife?

In the Navy 🎶​, the deck department used these for rope work. You could hammer the flat side to chip or cut clean, heat to melt poly-rope ends and scrape for years after they were dull.

It's been 15 years since I saw them. I could use another, but even Amazon doesn't list them. Most utility knives are folding now, not of this general quality.

I could have walked 5 kms, with the wind to my back, but nothing was warming my face or hands.

My wife walked with me. I expected much slower going, but my cane-wielding wife has good cadence. It was that blistering wind that made us return at only 1.5 km, or as they say in the King's English, 2000 steps. ta

No way I could get a good photo (freezing) , but we had a snow rainbow at #Sunrise .

The sun is rising, out of sight to the left, but the rays of light against light blowing snow, have created multiple rays of color, a rainbow the camera refuses to capture for me.
