OMG your toot made me flash on a segment of dream this morning where I had M&Ms at my bedside and I also happened to have a sandwich with beans in it & I added the M&Ms to the sandwich.
it's actually -- the reason I looked it up is b/c I took a pretty hard crack on the temple last week on the sailboat ("Helms Away!" happened faster than the captain could yell it -- I ducked but not low enough) & I've got a small but dense lump on my skull, I was wondering if it was something to worry about but it seems the main thing for me to worry about is that MY BRAIN IS SHRINKING
I'm such a weirdo, that at one point, I was going to get a bunch of long frames, frame segments of The Bayeux Tapestry and put them in order all around a room.
M15 and F23 did some more work on their nest this morning. M15 brought in some enormous branches to fill in the rails. He also tested out the nest bole. See the alt text for more.
yes, it's true -- the earth mother can turn on a dime.
the human condition is perplexing, maddening, chaotic, and truly complex.
I wish I could wave a magic wand to make us all remember the classic line (and I am not religious, full disclosure) -- "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another."
I know #Caturday is over but I couldn’t wait for another week to share this majestic small-size tiger sunbathing in the garden because that what Sundays are for
My neighbor's 7-year-old daughter takes piano lessons. His wife had a piano she inherited from her grandmother, but it was destroyed in a house fire. It's a shame; she wanted to pass it on to her kids. They rent one now.
I have a piano. I have no one to leave it to when I go. I've kept it perfectly tuned and in great shape.
I offered it to them as a way to pass it down - at least it will continue to live on, just through a different family.
When we moved my MIL into our home in Michigan, we brought lots of her furniture so she'd feel more at home. That meant my Great Aunt Rowena's piano would have to go, as well as my grandmother's old pump organ.
The piano went to a family w/ a young budding musician but w/o the resources to buy a piano - I included a photo of Aunt Rowena w/the piano.
The pump organ went to a couple who collects them in the Ohio city where the organs were made
Rafael Gutierrez-Galvan of Alamo, Texas met with a man who said he was interested in purchasing a baby jaguar. The buyer turned out to be an undercover agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, working an operation to apprehend exotic animal traffickers.
so I am going to lose a toenail because (I think) of the way my new #running shoes are constructed -- I bought them in Vienna. I think the problem w/them is that a sizable seam runs across the inside front of the shoe; it's pushed my toenail up away from my toe & after our 4-mile, 1000'-elevation #hike on Monday, the nail cracked & lifted right up! I'm scared shitless of losing a toenail! I put a bandaid on it & wore my Hoka #running shoes this A.M., no further damage to the nail. So far.
