I think the funniest thing about the current strain of rabid conservatism in the States is how much these chucklefucks are hurt that people think they're creepy and uncool, so instead of trying to become interesting/decent humans, they just resort to trying to force everyone to pay attention to them, while doing spiteful shit to make themselves feel better.

Inca had been under the care of another rescue for the last few days and has been an inpatient at Abbey house vets at the weekend.

Unfortunately Tuesday afternoon the other rescue felt that they couldn't care adequately for her and contacted us.

She had already been collected by the other rescue despite being mid treatment.
We agreed to take on Inca.

Look at little Meadow in her new Boob Tube at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary. Meadow is now 15 weeks old and has been with us 10 weeks.

When Meadow first came to us she had been bathed in bleach as her owners believed it woukd deal with her flea infestation. Unfortunately the bleach almost killed her. She had widespread chemical burns throughout her body, in her mouth and throat.

Meadow has healed really well and is a very happy kitten however is still unable to eat. Yesterday she had another oesophageal tube surgically plsce as her previous one had slipped out over time. Her little boob tube holds her O. tube in place.

Meadow is fed Royal Canin Recovery Liquid and is currently clocking up a £15 a day habit in nutrition! In all honesty we do not know if her mouth and throat will ever heal and we are currently exploring longterm nutrition solutions with specialist vets.

New arrival at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary .
This is baby Bruno.
At hours old (if that) Bruno was found alone and taken in to Abbey House Veterinary Hospital on Wednesday.
Shortly after, we collected Bruno to offer him intensive and supportive care.

Bruno will have virtually no immunity and being motherless at such a yiung age, his prognosis is very guarded. Our Critical Care volunteers are doing their best and started with feeding Bruno every 30 mins.

    This is little Mo.

    Mo came to us over the weekend due to Mo's deteriorating health. Mo was found as a stray in Leeds and the finders made every attempt to find the owner and in the end decided to take full responsibility for him.

    They took him to their vets where he had all the necessary checks and had his first vaccination.

    I had an interesting conversation with a physicist friend today about this brouhaha around the new material which is definitely not a superconductor. His observation is that false positives like this have always happened periodically, but that the amount of misinformation which spun up really fast on this is unprecedented. Our speculation is that misinformation has become much more automated in the last few years. People are still blathering online as if this is some huge breakthrough when at this point there is a clear consensus that an interesting new magnetic material has been discovered which is not in fact a high temperature superconductor. Not fraud, just mistakes. But those mistakes are now amplified into massive amounts of bullshit in a matter of days, which then only very slowly dies out, with no real retractions from the people in the media who pushed the bullshit.

    Our conclusion: bullshit is getting worse very fast, and it's creating new feedback loops which are making science much worse than even just a few years ago. Something really fundamental about how knowledge is processed in society is being made worse very fast, on purpose.
