I agree with most of this, but it’s too little, too late in 2023. Musk has been lying through his teeth for years, the entire tech press has known it, and they kept incessantly covering him—usually uncritically. He wouldn’t have his mystique without them.

    Another Birthday boy this week Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary

    Just look at little wobbly Humpty Dumpty ... we are celebrating his 1st Birthday today

    Still only eating fresh chicken independently and having recovery liquid syringed everyday to try meet his nutritional needs.

    He remains just under 2kg, around the weight and size of a 4 month old kitten.
    ....born very premature, no fur, weighing 40g, skin like tissue paper, no suckle reflex, was drip fed every 20 mins and spent weeks in intensive care.

    Now at 1 year old he really is a miracle.. however insists on having all his meals in his private dining area.

    This one just makes me smile.

    Mr Tumble has been with us at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary since he was around 5 weeks old.
    Mr Tumble has severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
    Mr Tumble is very popular with the ladies at the sanctuary and even has his own troop... Tumbles Tarts.
    ( we have a couple of special birthdays this week so to celebrate we will be holding a Mega Birthday Celebration Prize Draw this weekend )

    The GOP tried to be a sneakypete and keep reproductive rights from their citizens

    How? By a measure which would amend the state constitution by a 60% vote rather than the simple majority they’ve had

    And make this into a single issue vote

    Well guess what. The GOP just got clapped.

    Democracy wins paving the way for abortion rights to be enshrined in the state constitution

    And all it cost Ohio was $20 million plus ??? in dark money

    He's pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year as an "expert" in conservative politics and he claims not to know one of the right's most infamous commentators.

    It's actually rather unsurprising....

    Instead of joining the left in creating a united front against fascism, people like Mandel pretend it isn't taking over their intellectual class from top to bottom. Even worse, they love taking Thiel and Musk money and hiring ppl they know privately to be fascists.

    Woke means Black. It's a Black saying.

    Passing a law called "Stop woke" or saying "I'm anti-woke!" is equivalent to passing a law called "Stop Shabat Shalom" or "Stop Ni-Hao," but then trying to claim that you are not anti-semitic or sinophobic. It makes no sense.

    Most of these VCs, writers, and politicians are irredeemably racist, and hate you on a visceral level.

    If you know that these anti-woke people are anti-black racists, with dangerous white supremacist and eugenicist beliefs, who are trying to enable ethnic cleansing to create a whites only ethnostate, and you support them anyway? You are deplorable.

    If in 2023, you still don't realize what these dudes believe, and that they are serious in trying to implement it, and you let these racists decide how Black history should be taught, and how Black people should be allowed to vote? You are misguided.
