MNT Pocket Reform has many anti e-waste features:
—keyboard/trackball module can be converted to standalone USB input device (keyboard/mouse) by soldering in 1 3-pin LDO and adding a USB socket/cable to the JST header. can reuse one half of the aluminum case for it
—motherboard can be standalone computer and you can use the other half of the aluminum case for it
—battery pack/charger pcb has simple jst header incl i2c and can be reused for other projects
—display was originally for nexus 7 v2

this morning i experienced a device that's kind of a technological marvel, it doesn't use any power (except illumination by external light source) yet just by looking at it for a few minutes it projected intense and vivid imagery into my mind and let me hear scripted voices accompanying the scenery.
