I am thinking of starting a petition against the big four.

In US banks offer mortgages on fixed rate for life of the loan.

Same is not true here in Australia. I suspect it has to do with the monopoly of the big four.

Is this a good enough reason?

⏳ DUNE

After listening to the Dune audio-book on Audible, I re-watched the recent Dune Part 1 again.

I have new found appreciation for the movie, it is the best adaptation that comes close, and probably will be in future.

Cant wait for part 2.

In the meantime I have 5 more audio-book to listen too...

Finally got an invite from #bluesky & created an account.

The place seems dead, I have so gotten used to #mastodon now that other social media sites look out of place.

#facebook has become unbearable even though it has maximum demographic.

Its a bit split now alot of professionals I want to follow are posting on #linkedin were previously on birdsite.

I know #mastodon search only works on #hashtags the sooner people realize & change practices the easier it will become for them.

Wide screen monitors Linux

I have a wide screen monitor with a 3440 x 1440 resolution.

I am using macOS with it so I have to use a custom script for HIDPI scaling on it provided on the below repo:

I am interested to know people using linux on how are you doing fractional scaling on your wide screen monitors?

Seems like wayland does allow it, however it scales up using integer scaling & then scales down.

The new "Privacy Sandbox" feature will track web pages you visit & generate a list of advertising topics shared with web pages whenever they ask & it's built directly into the Chrome browser.

Leaving it on for a while, you can check out the "Ad topics" page, where Google will show you what ads Chrome thinks you would like to see.

This list gets sent to advertisers when you visit a page.
