Hello people of the US, Germany here.

We have a bit of experience with a convicted felon and radical right-wing extremist becoming leader of our country.

Our advice: Don't do it.

Hitler was sentenced to 5 years in prison. But he only served 9 months due to a sympathetic judiciary and massive public outcry from his political supporters. If that sounds uncomfortably familiar, it should.

#WordWeavers Games…

"Hey, Tseluna," Rory began. "Usually on Wednesdays, I have game night with my friends."
"And you want to play 'Demon Quest' with your friends tonight?"
Rory looked at her hopefully.
"Can I play too?"
"You want to play?" he said, in shock. "A girl? And aren't you a little too old to play?"
Tseluna transformed, like she had at the festival, into a young, black woman who looked about Rory's age, wearing an unfamiliar school uniform. She twirled around, lifting her skirt.

Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of well-being & walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But by sitting still, & the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.”

I really don’t like advice instructing how writers should feel about what they’re going through at any stage. I think it’s insulting to project one’s own emotions on other writers and to gatekeep how we should process things related to this strange industry. Whatever you’re feeling, your feelings are valid.

331 Ever desired a fresh start, etc.?

—Who hasn't sometimes? But this is ridiculous! I got a fresh start with a new body included! I only wanted more money and job security, and I got more money than I can spend, but security is the only thing I can't have because of this damn body and this cursed job! And and di got a better understanding of the world. So damn better that I'd like to have a lobotomy by death ray or two almost every damned day!

Has your MC ever desired the feeling of a fresh start, or a better understanding of themselves and/or the world around them?

Per narrative character:
Saeki: "After my failed confession I wanted one. Not that I did anything about it. I can thank Arisu for the changes in my life." (Arisu the Girl Who Saw Ghosts )

Shiro: "I didn't know I needed one until Kao came alone. Even then it took a while. I'm glad it happened though. When I think how dreary my life would have been if I had continued along the path I was going. (My Girlfriend Almost Got Me Killed)

Ume: "Been there done that. And big time. The one I think you should ask is Shishi."

Shiomi: "They can read about it when you publish my life story."

Ume: "Working on it."

330 — How does your MC go about expressing or not expressing their sexuality?

Parthia, well she's as subtle as thunder is quiet. If she likes you she'll just outright say it. She has a pretty steady interest/comfort progression of cuddles > naps > sex. If she never gives someone the permission to drop in for random naps, it's really unlikely she'll pursue sex with them.
Her habit of being mostly naked when the weather is warm interestingly has nada to do with her sexuality. She just didn't wear much much for clothes if she didn't need them to stay warm.
She did once put the fear of "death by snu-snu" into Pintac, who up to that point thought "death by snu-snu" was just a cheesy joke his dad liked to tell. He was in the 'naps are ok' stage, when he accidentally found out lightly brushing her shoulders and neck is a bit like throwing all breakers at a power station to ON

Pintac, he's pretty casual, and not overt. He can be goofy-smooth some times. He's the type that if he's interested in you, and you said "I'm trash." he'd reply "I drive a garbage truck, what time should I pick you up?"

31 Has your MC ever desired a better understanding of themselves?

When we land in the series in book one, Freya has nearly forgotten who she is. She is deep down in a numbing dark void and can not see the colour of the world anymore. She knows she's in there somewhere, in that blank, expressionless face in the mirror. At that point, she's tired of this dark murky limbo and pleads to the self she once had to get her out of it.

What really inspires me is writing with @strangeseawolf We write the story in alternating toots, and it's really fun to have two captains on a ship in an ocean of absurdities. It forces you to directly see and work with very different approaches.

I've seen most of the hashtags mentioned here already, but last week, I noticed which gives an insight into how other writers approach romance.

Connor's worst moment was when his pack fell apart. When his leader turned out to be cheater, when he turned against his own second, over a woman.

He does get a fresh start, ending up as the pack leader himself, albeit of a demoralized and injured few men. Still, he does the best he can.

Suetonius, like many gladiators, is pimped out by his lanista -- and he's very popular with the clients. When he falls hard for Drusilla, his experience is translated into tenderness.

#WordWeavers May 30: Are you comfortable writing from a child's POV? Written any?

I wouldn't say comfortable, but I have written a couple.

One that comes to mind is "Imaginary", about a boy with a bunch of imaginary friends who are all alternate versions of himself. The story follows him and his alternates as he grows up and grows older. It was an interesting exercise, writing a POV short story that spans a lifetime.

It's posted here for anyone who might be interested:

#WordWeavers 30May- writing from the POV of a child? Written any?

Very comfortable.

Cory the alien boy in Our Child of the Stars and its sequel. He is childhood turned up to 11. Enormously empathetic, curious, friendly, and able to enjoy even the simplest moments of life. And also, weird powers and he has to hide. I also did chapters than didn't make the book in the voice of his friend.

I have an idea in which there are two POVs, the child living it, and the adult she becomes.

Are you comfortable writing from the pov of a child? Written any?

A number of my books start with the protagonist as a child - Black Ships, Hand of Isis, The General's Mistress - or have flashbacks - Stealing Fire, The Marshal's Lover - so yes, I'm comfortable with it and I've done it.
