After Substack's decision to platform Nazis, I deleted my newsletter and my account and made a clean break.

I'm now publishing my work on tech, economics and humans on a platform I control.

In a year where I've already lost 30,000 followers by deleting Twitter, this is a tough one.

Unless my paid subscribers resubscribe, I'm down $500 ARR and paying $400 in hosting fees.

But it's worth it to stand by my values.

    On Mastodon 4.2.0, hashtags are now displayed separately from the post if they are on the last line, which is a huge W, I always felt awkward using them before because of how prominent they looked.

    @schizanon groups hashtags appended to the ends of posts could be separated from the rest of the post.

    for example, the " " would be hidden from the post but could be shown after clicking a "show hashtags" button

    When an app asks for permissions, the OS should not only let you answer yes or no. Every category should have a "yes, but feed the app fake data" option.

    Apparently, the YouTube legal team reached out to Invidious, for breaching their Terms of service. For now, nothing to be concerned about, as Invidious is its own thing and doesn’t use YouTube’s API, and thus shouldn’t be subject to the ToS, but still worth keeping an eye on:
