People of the Northeast and especially - if you are outside walking dogs, hiking, biking - please do a regular tick check. They are out already. How do I know? I found one on my upper left leg tonight and had to pull it out with a tick removal tool after a decent fight to get that fucker out of my leg!

Cleaned thoroughly, antibiotic cream applied with bandaid over the bite wound. 9:30 Urgent care appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning.

@CoachMark I was already thinking of them here too, but I haven't gone far, our semi-daily walks are often on paved surfaces, but pass through treed areas. I'm like a friggin' tick magnet, every gravel pathway in the park, I pick up two, I think they pickup dogs there.
I'm always petrified of what you CAN'T find. My first three got to my chest, the size of pepper, could have hidden in that single chest hair LOL all night, but I got them off. we pick mushrooms in hooded white paper coveralls

Wishing all of you amazing beings of the Fediverse a good Sunday morning, afternoon, or evening. I hope you are doing well and if you aren't awake yet, well, I hope you wake up in a good mood and ready to go.

It's cold AF here in , but no wind and sunshine, so it's actually kind of nice as long as you wear layers outdoors. We had a most excellent walk down to Lake Garda this morning. We did upset a few Canadian Geese, but hey, tough nougies Geese - you can be annoying too quite often.

Well, that's enough blathering on for now. Be well, Take Care and Stay Alive!
