Pour info : si toutes ces personnes ont été libérées (sans suites judiciaires), c'est aussi parce que leur mise en GAV était illégale (car notifiée après plus de 11 heures de privation de liberté pour certaines). Ordre de la préfecture.
200 personnes mises en GAV sur une manifestation de quelques centaines, c'est probablement un record national en termes de pourcentage. @loevenbruck

@thomasfuchs never. language doesn't really change like that. the most would be "to search" being popularised, but more likely one still "googles" on alternative search engines.
@0x5DA actually language changes like that constantly. For example “woke” meant “aware of social injustices” a few years back and now it’s overwhelmingingly a right-wing slur

I'm particularly interested that you present jury nullification in a positive light, and I can see from your examples that it has been used positively. But I've been worrying about jurors (not just in NY) in Trump's personality cult who cannot be convinced that he did anything wrong, leading to a hung jury. I suppose unless a juror talks afterward it's impossible to know if other personality cults swayed juries historically.

Also nein, ich nehme ihm höchstens ab, dass er erschrocken ist, wie schnell das Konsequenzen hatte (und überhaupt). Aber ansonsten glaube ich da gar nichts. Na ja, der Hitlergruß-Sänger muss jetzt selber damit klar kommen. 🤷

Das sind Menschen, die in ihrem ganzen Leben wahrscheinlich noch nie irgendwelche Konsequenzen für ihr Verhalten oder gar irgendwie richtige Verantwortung getragen haben. Und sie sind es gewohnt sehr weich zu fallen. Daher ist es für sie vermutlich neu, dass vor dem Gesetz alle gleich sind. Zudem finde ich die gesellschaftlichen und sozialen Konsequenzen in diesem Fall noch viel wichtiger. Auch, dass tatsächlich ein nachhaltiger Diskurs über #wohlstandsverwahrlosung geführt wird.
