From my journal 30 years ago this week in 1993: Prince of Persia 2 is ending, Last Express is beginning... 🚂 and I've already got a plane ticket to Paris.
Good evening, supporters, followers, and the entire Mastodon world. What is going on?
This is Charles, the owner of Three919 Studios and producer of the TBMS podcast.
I am going off-topic here...
Last night (4/24), I discovered that my neighborhood has a brand new comic book store.
Yes, I run a small business, but I am a comic book nerd, which drives my girlfriend nuts sometimes, lol.
I like the classics—Batman, Ironman, and Sandman—but I do enjoy a good offbeat horror story. Like this title from Image, "The Me You Love in the Dark".
Of course, when you enter a comic book store, you have to purchase something, right?
I purchased this classic Batman comic. I had the original first print, but it got lost during my years of travels.
Everyone in the Mastodon world, have a great night!
I feel like my #Twitter account’s engagement has collapsed. I’m also losing followers, below 500 now. I’m not that popular, but still, it’s early quiet since this weekend or so. Some of my posts just sit there with ~10 impressions 🙈
I guess I’m mostly just reading it for the news on #gaming, #anime, #manga, and #comics. And those 10-25 last active friends 😅
What's something minor that happens a lot in fiction that bothers you? Not something related to an area of expertise that everybody thinks is normal but you know is wrong. I mean something mundane that's like women waking up in full makeup, or people standing under the shower and turning it on instead of pointing it away or standing away first to get the water right, etc
When I was a kid I watched #SpiderMan on tv (the classic cartoons). This also got me into #comics, but I didn’t know what I was doing, so I bought what I could find in the general book store.
Web of Spider-Man, issue #36, was the very first #comicbook I got (and still have).
