Here’s my suggestion to the moderators of mstdn.social: Stop tone policing people on other instances. I’m not on your instance and I’ll speak my mind as I like on my own one. If anyone has a problem with that, they can block me. It’s not your job to tone police the fediverse even if you are a mega instance.

As of today, this instance blocks known domains associated with Meta's #project92, in accordance with the anti-Meta Fedi Pact (https://fedipact.online/)
In effect, this instance does not federate with the domains threads.net or threads.instagram.com. Further associated domains will be blocked, if discovered.
We are not personally against the users of Project 92, we are against Meta. We will not be giving them a chance. Their work is a threat to the Fediverse, as it has been a threat to other social spaces and open communities for years prior. They are not welcome in our homes.
#Meta 's history is filled with the collection, sale and abuse of personal data.
Their power is big enough to influence elections, countries, wars and your personal relationships too.
There is blood on their hands and they will stop at nothing to gain more data, influence and relevance.
They will exploit our beautifully curated spaces if given the chance. Resisting their presence is not an overreaction, it is the only way to start to protect ourselves.
Meta is not gonna buy Mastodon or any server, this is based on absolutely nothing and untrue.
Yes, some of us indeed got contacted by Meta/Insta because they are working on a new social platform (this was in the news) and they are looking into joining the Fediverse (Mark Zuckerberg also told this in the recent podcast)

This contact was about a "heads-up" for a potential big platform to join the network and not for a "take over".
Seeing as how we're all speaking out, I am moderately against @fosstodon joining #FediPact. I could be persuaded still the other way, but it feels like a fundamentalist impulse, responding in fear to the threat of impurity. As a religious person, I'm maybe more sensitive to fundamentalism than non-religious people. Don't like it, can't support it.

I have mixed feelings about Meta joining the Fediverse but we should all be prepared to wage a reddit style campaign against them should they get out of line.
I hope he'll think about it and realize that not taking a stance against #NSAbook is inherently bad and his position - alongside the non-signature of the #FediPact ( https://fedipact.online ) - will rather be offputting and make people consider not just leaving his instances, but cancelling any services they have at :stuxhost: ( https://stuxhost.com/ )as of now...
