@kubikpixel@fedora KDE Plasma also works, but I was never a KDE guy. Personally like gnome more. And this is the great thing about Linux ... you have the choice

@takeitev@lisamelton being vegan is not a diet nor it's for the climate. Most of us also like a healthy planet, yep, but being vegan is about animals and their suffering and how to avoid that best.
We have been seeing in ProtonDB data that Ubuntu has been progressively losing steam (and market share) amongst gamers, what do you think of this observed trend? Rings true or not?
@boilingsteam the past (no shit) 12 laptops in the last 15 years i've acquired all came from e-recyclers. they all still work (though i've either given them away, or don't use them), and all run Linux.
buying a "new laptop" (that isn't a Framework Laptop) doesn't compute. There are plenty of laptops with decades (plural) of life left in them, just avoid Windows and MacOS, and you've got a good tool available to use for many years!
Mine are gen 4 to gen 8 intel laptops, to be specific.
@mousey while its true that old laptops can last for a long time, modern cpus bring a huge performance boost. we are talking about 10x in the space of 10 years
Please enjoy my blog that is free of ads, and free of tracking, and won't ask you to subscribe to a newsletter. You can even just grab the RSS feed and read the full posts that way.
I just want to publish things and share ideas and art with the world because the Internet makes it so damn easy (and cheap!) to do so... and I wish more people took a similar approach.
@rasterweb I've subscribed to your RSS feed, happy blogging! Also, nice sketch of Old Bay. I grew up near in PA near the MD line and ate a lot of crabs.
@ben If I read everything correctly, you indicated that it should be able to recognize WordPress sites that have the ActivityPub plugin installed, but I didn't try to plug any of those in.
It is reminiscent of Share to Any and a couple of others that used to aggregate almost all of the available share points in the old monolithic social spaces, like del.icio.us, Diigo, and the thirty or so others supported by that plugin.
I'm looking forward to seeing how your effort progresses though, and it would be kewl if you could post an Atom or RSS feed link to make that easy in the meantime, although I'll follow you now and hope not to miss any milestones :)
I did plugin many Fediverse platforms such as various Friendica, Mitra, Misskey, Iceshrimp, Hubzilla, Diaspora, Akkoma, Lemmy, Takahe, and Pleroma sites, but none of those were found.
masto is obviously low lying fruit, but the real measure, IMO, is breaking out into the #Fediverse at large (not just masto). Interesting though, and thoughtful, that you Support Threads and Bluesky. will you be following up soon with nostr as well?
Exciting work there! Thanks for sharing (no pun intended ;) well, maybe a little ).
