#MiniReview#VideoGamesSong of the Deep (2016) is a cute and forgiving Metroidvania in a wonderfully rendered undersea environment. Short and sweet, I heartily recommend it despite its lack of crispness being sometimes irritating.

The game is SO BAD, I was literally stunned by how mediocre it is.
It's literally a dumpster fire. I could tolerate this when I was 11, believe me, I used to play WCW Mayhem and WWF War Zone and enjoy it all day long, but this is below acceptable in any shape and form. Someone obviously rushed this.
If I bought this for 60 euros, I would feel robbed.
Lately, the handheld has been crashing when playing simple NES games with just integer scaling, no filters or shaders. Now, it is crashing a lot more frequently to the point where it barely boots either ArkOS or AmberELEC.
I guess it's a good thing that recently I got an RG35XX H. I like the size and form factor of both, though the weight of the RG351MP meant it wasn't find to use for longer periods of time (same with my all-aluminium GBA).
‘Fortnite’ Chapter 5, Season 3 is probably my least favorite season in years. I don't care for the weapon selection at all, none of the new items do it for me, the ‘Mad Max’ theming is fine but not as much fun as I had expected, and I really do not enjoy the emphasis on vehicle-based combat.
Disappointing, but in a way I'm also kind of glad—I'm extremely busy with work and summer classes just started, so it's a good time for them to ship a clunker.
TFW you accidentally delete a number of Animal Crossing screenshots you can't recapture including some moments where Stitches said some adorable things...
Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum last night. Just shy of 15 years after launch, the game holds up pretty great, with satisfying combat and gameplay, a fantastic voice cast, and a cool island. There's a bit of a blend of Metroidvania and Legend of Zelda-style level design, with the locations acting as different dungeons, but with extra paths and secrets that require return trips with future upgrades to access.
I've been covering a lot of HEAVY news lately, so let's wrap up the week with a little gaming accessory? https://somegadgetguy.com/b/46M
This is one of the coolest solutions for a phone game controller I've ever had the pleasure of reviewing. Let's play!
2024 gaming backlog, no.19 - You Used To Be Someone (PC)
Short interactive narrative exploring the author's depression. You don't do much other than aimlessly wander a town and muse, but that is the point after all. Wild art and perspective. A neat insight.
Short, sweet narrative about a couple taking their weird niece and her dorky boyfriend on a camping trip. Gentle, caring dialogue, beautiful faux-retro visuals, stunning sound design.
Hey #gamers, I have a question for you. What's the hardest game you've ever played. I'm talking the one that maybe made you want to quit, or where you died a hundred times before you beat that one level/boss/whatever?
