I've used #Suunto watches for ~20 years but 1.5 years ago I switched to a #Samsung Galaxy watch 5 Pro because I wanted an everyday watch with #WearOS that I could also use as a fitness watch. I'm going back to Suunto. I like the Samsung but I just don't use any of the WearOS apps that I thought I would use. And the Suunto is so much better for sports tracking and adventure. Not that the Galaxy watch is bad at run tracking, it's just not nearly as good as the Suunto.

With the large push to RISC-V in the Android ecosystem, especially with Qualcomm putting RISC-V on wearables, what's the chances of that rumoured fully customized Pixel chip be RISC-V based instead of ARM? Could be wild but would be cool.
I wasted hours yesterday on supposedly (and actually) live chat asking how I could back up my watch settings manually. The first chat (ai) sent me multiple links, all useless. The actual live one sent different ones and said to go to a repair centre. All useless and no longer apply. Maybe the best battery life I've had yet with a WearOS watch! Off the charger at 4am on Wednesday, all the way to 11am on Saturday.
I'm gonna charge it now, but I could probably make it to bed time if I don't track a workout.

My new Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in 47mm arrived on Tuesday and I finally got around to setting it up today. I wasn't planning on upgrading my Classic 4 but I got an unusually good deal ($156) so I got the new model. It's really nice and the sapphire crystal makes the screen a bit more vibrant than the gorilla glass they were using. The new extreme sport bands are excellent too, I got the graphite and taupe model.
