The Osborne 1 was my first "portable" computer. If I'd tried swinging it like this, my arm would have come off in five minutes. It weighed almost 25 pounds.

We switched to battery lawn equipment 6 years ago & never looked back. No messy oil changes, $ gasoline, or winterizing. Good exercise. Quieter. Better for environment. All plusses. ➕ 🔋 🏡

Had to do an emergency glue transfer into, of all things, an empty and clean Arby's Sauce bottle after the original, half-full bottle of glue cracked around and centre and began to leak. Used a putty knife to move it over. If I didn't, the remaining glue would likely dry and set inside the old bottle due to being exposed to regular air, for prolonged periods (ie: whenever I might need some next). I estimate the glue bottle is 10-15 years old, so the plastic had degraded.

@sjvn hopeful that this time (compared to Munich & the LiMux experiment back in the aughts) this German state's Linux experience can be a success. (The popularity of ChromeOS being the trailblazer here.)

Will also be curious which distro they go with. Have to think that @opensuse is a leading candidate because of its German roots.

What the Post is hating on here is not the choice but on the election itself: on democracy. The Post and Times are election deniers of their own sort, denying the validity of the choice between competent leadership and fascism. They go find voters to fulfill their agenda.
