does anyone know of a good #python api wrapper for creating #mastodon #bots? looking to create something similar to reddit's u/cahbot for the fun of it (if it doesn't exist already)

A really interesting update on bots behaviour. I used to be able to spot bots on twitter. I can't spot them on Mastodon and maybe this 👇 is why.
I'll bear this in mind when I see suspicious answering patterns. The last thing I want to do is amplify bots on the Palestine issue ... er, No.

I'm one of those "meme friends", you know, someone who does the for you, and I just stopped one day and released an IG story saying "do your own damned doomscrolling".

This is because Instagram is now filled up with and . For every 30-40 of useless garbage and mindrot, I got maybe 1-2 good videos/reels.

The internet, including social media, is filling with .

Is there a way to automatically mute accounts identified as being a bot? If not, I think that would be a great feature. That and automatic muting of accounts with posts predominantly not written in your native language. I wish I was multilingual but unfortunately I'm not.

So the rudderless leader of one of the world's biggest bot farms is declaring war on bots by charging new users for the "privilege" of posting on the bot farm and interacting with bots.

Well this is new. And odd.

Do YouGov have a bot problem they're trying to fix, or are they trying to to gather information about interpreting images?

Very weird question to be faced with at random anyhow.

- since i dont see an option for subscribing whole server and i would love to be able to see some random stuff from certain server on my feed, would it be considered malicious if i would have a bot that would boost all post on such server? Or maybe there is more elegant solution apart from persuading all server’s users to use certain hashtags?

I notice spambots at newsmast.community have started reposting everything I write with certain hashtags.

I'm blocking the bots individually as they pop up, but I wonder if we need more concerted action for the entire site.

A question to fellow website owners: are you noticing, like me, an influx of comments from B*nance URLs/email addresses?

One of my most popular websites went from being under attack from brute force attempts (100+ a day) to now receiving lots of spammy comments from addresses associated to crypto. I wonder if you experienced the same thing?

@coachtony Will Medium allow our writing to be crawled by AI bots? The news about WordPress and Tumbler is bad, and the news about DocuSign is probably worse. Will our copyrighted material posted to Medium be used/abused in the same way? Will you, like WordPress, provide an option to stop our posts from being crawled?
