My first attempt to root some Concord grape clippings is going well. Hoping to revive my dad’s ancient arbor that was down to only 2 vines.

Big time hog wrestling between 2 males. The bully hog got himself a drink, then went back into the hut, leaving the other one to forage for about 10 minutes. Then out he comes again, rolls the other hog away, gets a drink, & back inside. The attacked hog continued to forage after the 2nd battle, then wandered off home. @gardening

20 second video. Outside at night in front of a hedgehog feeding hut. A hog forages in the middle of the screen, with a toad house to his left & the hut to his right. A second male comes out of the hut. As he approaches, the first slowly curls up until, when the second males attacks, the first male is in a complete ball that rolls across the ground.

Oh wow, the first flower. I can hardly believe it. What do I do now?

Suggestions on pollination methods for indoor chilli plants are more than welcome.

A much-needed night's rain has rinsed the pollen off our solar panels and refilled the barrel so we can water the garden.

My purple are all sporting new 😀

All hostas are fully - from root to shoots to stems to foliage to flowers. Roots/shoots/leaves taste like combo of asparagus & endives - cook them up, in similar ways. Flowers can be sugared & they taste like raw honey.

A surprise allium. I scattered seeds years ago. This is the first flower I got.

Every year I forget what these flowers are called because it is such a general name.

My Pause for Thought last night/early this morning was on the theme "My Dream Garden" (and a bit about climate justice). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0hzl0lw

I never expected to be so attached to plants.Three months ago I started with seeds and now they have become little bauties. A few days ago some of them looked a bit sick, but it seemed to be a lack of nutrition. They also survived a hailstorm. I am so sorry as I was a few minutes too late to get them back in time.
