Good morning Mastodon, TGIF! My insomnia got me up at 3am which sucked but I did get this picture of Pixie and Mr Minx snoozing together and thought, there are worse ways to start my day. 🙂 Hopefully Friday flies by and we can start the weekend!

Good morning and happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm dead tired after sleeping an hour and forty five last night. So I enjoyed this sunrise while simultaneously guzzling coffee and slapping myself.☕🤦 It's nice I'm not running equipment that could cut my hand off these days, office life has its perks. 🙂
Today I haven’t been able to stop thinking about work. It had my anxiety going full throttle all week and well after I was out of office this time yesterday. I took something to help me sleep last night. I sure hope I can sleep tonight.
A colleague messaged me earlier this week saying he was looking for a miracle (scheduling a meeting with him and 3 other colleagues). When I finally performed the miracle, I messaged him:
"No one yet understands how or why, but at night many of us think, feel, behave in ways we might not during daylight. I, for one, am a little more reckless, with a yen for wistfulness and whimsy. This is how I found myself outside on that fateful starry night."
Good morning, world! Ok, it's the middle of the night, but it is technically morning. And I'm wide awake but not in the mood to work. So here I am seeing what is going on out there. #Today, I really have to make cookies for my dear husband (and for me, lol!). Life is better with fresh baked cookies!
I'm trying to think about what to make for me so that I don't end up eating all of his.
For someone who is an #Artist, I sure do suck at being #Creative. #Insomnia
Good morning friends, happy Thursday! Sunshine and coffee are the only things keeping me going. I finally gave up and started my day at 3:30, and the dogs were not happy about it, they prefer 4:45. I'm hoping to keep my head down and phone on DND to avoid pesky salespeople. 😉

I've had two nights in a row of solid sleep after a month and a half of intermittent #insomnia
What helped so far:
---getting off my devices earlier at night for a proper wind down
---breathing with intention to calm
---listening to guided meditation
---Ruminating wake ups were mitigated by going back to breathing technique & being present with the breath sounds and my heartbeat
Wow, not in the least bit sleepy. My nightgown pattern arrived.i could cut it out. I could finish coloring a mandala I started yesterday. Or just get really high and finish The Great. #ChronicInsomnia
