For : This is a hard carved, hand printed Lino block print with collaged Japanese washi papers of a clump of black-eyed susans (Rudbeckia hirta) with a cone flower (Echinacea) & a monarch butterfly. These beautiful wildflowers are garden favourites popular with the pollinators.

Plant native species- they are easy to grow & support native pollinators!

For , cause plants get pollinated at night too. I love how moths in French are “night butterflies” so here’s the night shift.

The delightful term for a group of moths is an eclipse. This hand-printed lino block print shows five of the noctural moths of Ontario in front of the moon at a lunar eclipse.

Working closely together, they modernized & quantified chemistry & the scientific method, recognized & named oxygen & hydrogen, explained the role that oxygen plays in combustion, …

The key for me to enjoying Mastodon: following tons of people, looking at journa.host and newsie.social to see who else to follow for news. Also taking suggestions of super-boosters and looking at hashtags, topics I like. is one of them. I like and many other topics. I learn a lot from and many communities. We will all be more healthy when we open our eyes, learn, and work together.

It's Monday, so I'm starting new posts for my daily drawings.

Today, I'm playing with a bit of color gradient, starting in the center of these branches. It's very subtle, though.

Here's an in-progress photo

Taking that simple fractal to another degree in today's drawing. I liked it so much I decided to do a bigger one on fine watercolor paper.

Here's the one I drew in my sketchbook.
