'Incandescently stupid':

Ex-DHS official says Trump needed 'highly classified' memos dumbed down

Former United States Department of Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor recalled to Meidas Touch podcast host Brett Meiselas on Tuesday that he had to drastically dumb down national security reports to ensure that ex-President Donald Trump could interpret them.

Stupid is as stupid does. Prius driven onto the CalTrain tracks at Churchill and Alma, Palo Alto, CA as I was biking home Saturday. I let out a louder than intended expletive and the responding Palo Alto police officer answered with a "Yep" lol

a car has left the road and driven down railroad tracks about 50 feet and now is stuck on the tracks. The car is a 4 door blue compact. This is a closer view

Kinda feel like trying Linux, which version or edition or whatever are you using @thelinuxcast ??

@joel @thelinuxcast

is probably the most stable rolling-release distro.

My only negative takeaways from a few experiences with it:

  1. pacman spoiled me. zypper feels slow
  2. No packagekit by default, and it's a pain to figure out how to implement. Every forum post I could find on the subject basically said, "Duh, why don't you just use the root password, lol!"

Great distro, otherwise.

(And yes, I'm using the old fashioned SuSE capitalization, just 'cause ;)

In your company/organisation, is "one of our services doesn't expose an endpoint" or "one of our services' IPv6 endpoint is malfunctioning" considered a critical issue?

In other words, must everything that's available via IPv4 also be available via IPv6?

[question subsequently edited for clarity, and to better convey the original intention]

Boosts appreciated, comments welcome.

@jogi @xahteiwi I heard about an ISP in New Zealand, who when realised that they had no staff who knew IPv6, disabled all IPv6, rather than train some staff.

Update: got the booster, which was fully covered by insurance, just because.)

There's no denying that everywhere deserve the chance to educate themselves via a 4 year university. The government should be paying for this through our taxes. It's us. High schoolers are for the most part dumb, , and utterly . That's why there are educational options.

However, there's is a demographic that needs educational access more than anyone else. I'm talking about the really fucking stupid among us:

https://www.axios.com/2023/05/12/desantis-medical-freedom-laws

If we can educate them...

If we can just one really fucking stupid person, we would have prevented pain and suffering for millions:

https://www.axios.com/2023/05/12/desantis-medical-freedom-laws

Either that, or we could test people to see if they are part of the really fucking and just don't let them be part of the in the first place. But that sort of goes against what I believe. I rather show them how really fucking stupid they are and educate them in the process. That way there's less of them and more of us.
