I just finished reading Batman - The Long Halloween. It is without a doubt a masterpiece. I’ve said it here before, but the duo Jeoh Loeb and Tim Sale is very very good. Sale’s drawings are very expressive and authorial. I was quite shocked by the plot twist on the last page, it was impressive. I recommend reading.

'Batman: the Long Halloween' is one of my top favorite books. I do try to reread it around Halloween when I can (though clearly you can read it anytime)

I need to know which library is this and if they are hiring because mine does not have drugs and hookers. We just have books, media, online resources, and professional librarians to help folks.

That is just not right.

I highlighted that earlier, that is messed up, but consistent with a pattern of "developed nations" dumping their (insert whatever shit here) on "less developed nations." This comes to mind as I had a student come for a consult on that sort of dumping (in her case, looking at e-waste but still).

Yep, that is pretty much the corporate world, whatever their product is fucking up (pardon my language), they've always known and mobilized their PR teams, paid docs, etc. to obfuscate, minimize, etc.

On a side note, reminds me of this book I read last year. My if anyone is curious.

On the of Google, but not much many of us can do. For one, I can't just write a check to something like Kagi for my search needs (and I highly doubt my library would pony up for it either). Will just have to keep looking for options, but it gets harder. And not only does the company not care, very often my brethren don't care either.
