If you've enjoyed what I share but don't have the space/need for wall art and similar items, I just wanted to post a link to some downloadable art formatted to fit your mobile device. Always helps to keep me an my cats fed. ❤️
I just want to say thank you to everyone who favourites, boosts and comments on my posts. I've had such a crap time recently and I so appreciate you all going out of your way to interact with me in these ways. It is also truly lovely to find people who are as enthusiastic about drystone and flowers/nature as I am.
My experience of mastodon is, thus far, entirely positive. A corner of the internet full of kind, interesting, and interested people.
It’s crazy to believe that I've surpassed 800 followers here on Mastodon! On that other site, I had over 6.1K but never had the engagement I am having here. Numbers don’t matter, quality does!
THANK YOU to all 800+ of you that follow me. I know I often post some weird stuff that not everyone agrees with.
I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations when it comes to posting random things and thoughts. I look forward to interacting with as many of you as possible.
Early Thanksgiving thought: I'm very thankful for all of you here; it seems all the thoughtful, kind, and considerate folks I knew on that other site (and many new friends) are here; for whatever reason, the attention-seekers, people-only-on-social-media-for-ego, and hate has not crossed yet into the Fediverse (or has successfully been defederated!), and for that, I am thankful. #thankyou
I had forgotten what the internet used to be like 20 or more years ago.
But it's just occurred to me that a couple of hours ago I asked a bunch of random strangers a fairly random question (about repairing a broken watch) and quickly got back multiple helpful and informative replies.
This is what the net used to be like, back in the days of usenet and email lists and the early web forums. And most people have probably never experienced it at all, their impression of social media being very different from those of us here on the Fediverse.
PS: It's probably very unfair to call you "random strangers". Even in just the 18 months I've been here I've found and chatted with people I'm happy to call friends, even though I've never met them face-to-face.
Vielen Dank an euch, wenn ihr uns Feedback und gute Bewertungen zulassen kommt!
(Auch Feedback, das nicht so toll ist, ist wichtig für uns, damit wir wissen, was wir verbessern können!)
As some of you may recall, I started offering mobile wallpaper as a win-win way to get something fun and support what I do in lieu of a Ko-Fi and all that. The first two haven't been runaway hits per se but there's been enough interest to think it's a fair idea to continue to add more options. ❤️
So I hope you might enjoy seeing the latest choice!

Nobody's here just because it's trendy. If you're here, you want to be here.
The best social media experience I've had in years.
Thank you to all of you, among these 15 million accounts, who have helped make this a wonderful place to be.
Crazy to believe that I've surpassed 900 followers here on Mastodon!
THANK YOU to all 900+ of you that have followed me. I know I often post some stuff that not everyone agrees with or whatever. I certainly post all sorts of stuff so I hope all of you ready for that!
I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations when it comes to posting random things and thoughts. And I look forward to interacting with as many of you as possible.
I just want to say THANK YOU to all 1,000+ of you that have now followed me. I appreciate each and every one of you and I hope to get to interact with each of you as much as possible.
I also hope that you all enjoy the content that I post as you will find I post about a lot of different things here.
I am really #sick have inflamed vocal cords. I can't speak and because of my sinuses, one of my ears feel 'blocked', so even music is out of the the question.
But when I get back to stereo, could you recommend me some #joyous#jazz from 1960's and up?
I really love Mastodon, my Heads place, you warm my heart.
I want to publicly thank @grunfink for creating the amazing snac2, which powers my instance.
They've read everything I noted, suggested changes, and adapted the code to make it work optimally even on my slow VM. If all open source developers were as kind and helpful as they have been with me, the world would be an idyllic place.
A shoutout to @stefano too - using snac2 was his idea, and he's responsible for the technical implementation of the instance.
And thanks to everyone who makes my timeline interesting and complete - without you, all of this would be utterly pointless.
The LaSalle Street canyon is a ghost town on Sundays. The Chicago Board of Trade building served as Bruce Wayne Enterprises for the Batman Dark Knight movies.
#ThankYou to everybody who works so hard each day to end the generational transmission of abuse in their own families.
Your monumental work & struggles will probably never be understood, appreciated, or even acknowledged by the grind culture of crony capitalists, your birth families, or the bully culture of Republican politics. GOP are trying all they can to revive legal/cultural regimes that gave white men free rein to abuse women, Black people, Native people, & their own kids - among others.
I'd like to offer a public #ThankYou to all of those #CEOs, human resources department heads, #VPs, and #managers telling employees to come back into the office "at least 3 days a week" because "we work better together".
You have saved countless people a collective amount of time that must be measured in decades if not centuries. We can immediately cross your companies off the "enlightened companies that treat their people well" list, and move on to the next.
