@allen @ducksauz I do believe I answered ST's survey about this many months ago, with something like "these options are negligibly different and any change along this axis is not worth the extended timeline".

I'm not sure I even count as a photographer in the Pacific Northwest if I haven't posted any pictures from a ferry. Here's a few from a recent back-and-forth across Puget Sound for an assignment on an exceptionally clear day a couple weeks back.

Hey Seattle Transit Friends

Once again, there's corpo-political BS going on with light rail. Seems that under some Amazon influence, the ST board is aiming to go against their own staff recommendations for the CID station location. Apparently, Amazon is concerned about their drivers being slowed down by construction. Screw that!

Do the thing. Click the link and send the letter to tell them to do the right thing here.

A century ago, this photo was taken in Haubstadt, . This town had both a station and service, with a population of less than 700.
Now it has over 1,600 people, but has no service of any kind. The station and several of the buildings in this photo are now gone or empty.
Even major cities with populations in the hundreds of thousands sometimes lack basic service. It's painful how much we've lost.

My view out the window riding the city bus today. Bus wrap makes travel miserable. Advertising wrap over bus windows says to bus riders that they dont deserve a view of their city or a comfortable ride.

I've been skeptical of "free" public transit, but it is hard to argue with these results. The only way this will work is to find new sources for operating funds than the farebox.

@danwentzel I read this as Montpelier, VT and thought what! Vermont as free public transport?! WOW! Then I saw the link, Euro, and realized it was actually probably France lol. Still nice to see though!
