Instead of providing more transportation to the place people want to go (and are willing to pay to go there), let's hide the line from the people who don't know it exists.
What kind of opposite day are they having at the city council over there?
One of the reasons I’m so grumpy about street safety is I’ve unfortunately had the bad luck to have witnessed two pedestrian and cyclist deaths in San Francisco. That’s left a mark on me. I also literally just almost witnessed a very close call, but people on the street ran out to grab someone very quickly.
Tonight on the subway, the operator announced at each stop that he was the Master of Transportation, and that we were riding the Red Comet, and that's why I'm glad that not everything is automated yet.
So, #seattle folks, how do you talk to people who have 1) never ridden our #transit / #lightrail and at the same time 2) constantly belittle it and make obscene jokes about it being riddled with crime, drug, and houseless folks? Because I'm getting... real tired of it.
there's a restaurant in my neighborhood that blasts obnoxious anti-homeless sounds. the goal i think is to repel homeless people from loitering, but i think they've ended up repelling any guests (it's so loud you can't stop hearing it from the seated parts of the restaurant)
looking forward to hearing them whine about how it's the bike lanes or the anti-car measures that have led to their demise, soon
