The thing that's been bothering me in the default Mastodon UI is that I see too much information that is not needed. It's noisy.
For example, favorites and boosts don't need to have my own avatar or the action bar (why would I boost or fav my own post based on someone else's fav action, it makes no sense) and so on. Too much clutter.
The point there is to see who has favorited your post NOW and that's it.
We sat down to chat with the nice folks over at Hosting Advice about all things Iconfactory including how we help clients launch, improve, and grow their digital products, just like we do our own. Check it out!
“The best way for you to become a better designer is not looking at Dribbble or Behance. It’s looking and playing with real products and seeing how they handle certain scenarios and flows.” — Denislav Jeliazkov
Calckey is a Fediverse server type which includes lots of features that Mastodon doesn't yet have, such as emoji reactions, markdown, customisable interfaces, widgets and lots more.

@tdarb A book has table of contents at the beginning, I think we should aim to normalise putting a table of contents (at least the first level of navigation) at the start of the page and incorporate that into #WebDesign. Most print media offers an overview of "what's there" in the beginning, so why not the #web?
I think it should be okay to cover half of a phone screen with a table of contents before the page body begins.
I’ve spent the last few months crafting my own home on the Web, and I wanted to make sure it presented me as a human, not defined solely by my work as a #DesignEngineer / #WebDev.
This has also been a great opportunity to finally use #Svelte & #SvelteKit in a project. I love how easy it was to learn and how intuitive it is, as someone who started with vanilla HTML and CSS
if you’ve ever used Obsidian, you’ve probably seen the Graph view, and thought “Whoa! Cool!”
Me too! i’m also thinking — how can we make something like that on the web?! it’d be great for sites with 2-4 levels of navigation.
if/when you start working on this creating a graph view in HTML, CsSS, and JS, be sure to write a blog post about it. It’s gonna require several people to contribute to making it accessible and awesome!
Judging by the giant, colorful “SIGN UP!” button on your landing page, and the tiny little, almost-hidden “sign in” link down in the corner, my impression is that you want me to create a new account every time I visit your site.
:blobwizard: NEW WEBSITE ANNOUNCEMENT?! :blobwizard:
That's right, Aradia Collective has its new site now! Still a couple of things to handle (applications are still closed, sorry!), but we hope you enjoy perusing through our new home!
