There are MANY videos on #YouTube explaining the so-called "Monty Hall" paradox, some diving deeply into fairly complicated probability math.
The paradox is traced back to the very long-running "Let's Make a Deal" game show, hosted for many, many years by Monty Hall.
The paradox involves the prospect of staying with your choice of one of three doors that might contain the grand prize, or switching to another of the three doors once you're shown that one of the doors you didn't choose doesn't contain the prize.
While most people assume that staying with their current pick is a reasonable choice, the math says that you should actually (for best results in the long run) switch to the other available door. It's really quite a non-intuitive probability puzzle.
The irony is that Monty when asked about the paradox consistently insisted that the show never actually offered contestants the choice to switch doors, and that the paradox was actually based on a "what if" postulation not the actual procedure on the show!
Based on #YouTube comments, quite a few of us refuse to watch #Draymond on #NBAonTNT. There are so many great people they could have who aren't unapologetic violent idiots. #NBA#TNT
In diesem Sinne: MEETALOIDAAAARGHHHHHH 🤘 🤘 🤘#Metal#Underground https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1B5NLYxTp0
A box office failure that gradually attained cult status (especially initially in the USSR, as it happens), is the much underrated 1985 film "Enemy Mine" starring Dennis Quaid and Louis Gossett, Jr. During an interstellar war a human soldier and a reptilian soldier of the opposing forces are stranded together on an inhospitable planet. The majority of the film consists of only those two actors -- it has often been said that it almost is a stage play in that respect until later in the plot. It just popped up free in the U.S. on #YouTube Movies and TV. I do definitely recommend it. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y58-H9JHDs

Just had a chat with a well respected mini PC manufacturer asking if I'd be interested in "reviewing" their products.
I said "sure!" and recommended one of their newer offerings.
They replied "we don't need promotion on that right now, we really need videos on this older less expensive system going on sale".
Red flag already, but it could make for a fun project video. I say sure.
THEN they reply with all the mandatory talking points to include, what kind of b-roll to shoot, a timetable of less than two weeks, and a list of links I'd need to use instead of my own affiliate links.
I tell them, "that's not a review, that's a promotional video you want to live on my channel". I don't charge for anything called a review on my channel, but I will produced sponsored videos to keep the lights on.
I tell them my rates for a sponsored video, and they IMMEDIATELY balk.
It's really changed my perception of this brand's reputation.
So my 12 year old kid loves #modeltrains to death: machines, tracks, landscapes, everything. Unfortunately, this is a hobby dominated by grumpy old men, some of whom don't react too cool towards a rainbow family. Are there any familys out there with #trainkids? #Berlin, Germany, wherever? I am thinking exchange of photos or small films, maybe sending stuff to and fro, meetings in Germany at some point. German, English works. Neurodivergent kids/parents welcome. #modellbahn#Modellbau
@nisjasper There are a number of relatively young model train enthusiasts who run quite fun channels on #YouTube. I can't point you at any specific ones offhand but I stumble across them from time to time and fall into their rabbit holes.
