I was guiding a group of 8 year olds to the medical simulation room, and one of them asked if there would be depression sims. whoaaa, completely new generation. at their age, I was told that "being moody" was cured by going outside. maybe it just came from their personal experience, but no one told them this bullshit.

When I was looking for affordable differential scope probes I found some Linear opto couplers, each of them having two leds. I guess to use one as feedback on the transistor side.

But yes Linux is an option. I am still surprised how well proton works even if linux compatibility is not declared.
Despite me being an absolute performance addict beyond reason, I have decided not to write my dice roller entirely in C++, for now. At least not until Godot 4.2 comes out, which brings hot-reloading to GDExtension.
GDScript is slow, and I really hate wasting people's CPU cycles, but prototyping the game logic is just so much quicker because it's right in the editor and changes are applied immediately.
I am also certain that I will be able to convert GDScript to GDExtension C++ fairly easily, because all I do is call engine functions, basically. It's just a matter of translating the syntax.
Last but not least, It would make a nice case study to directly compare the same implementations in GDScript and GDExtension C++.

@reginasbread When I think of it, it sounds like those people simply cannot imagine that certain activities may happen somewhere else than in the double bed.
I understand that different people have different approaches, some really different, and it is totally okay. I would expect that if someone wants to regulate something, he will do some research on that topic upfront...
