@renwillis Cute! Earlier today, I was playing the Octopia DLC for Eastward. It's engaging so far. Tonight, we played Penny Black, my new stamp collecting board game. It's very fun!

@renwillis I loved Eastward. I played it when it first came out. Super fun. The Octopia DLC is on sale on Switch right now for $5 or something. It is a whole separate cozy farming and cooking game. Very cute.

@renwillis Yes, the DLC is very different from the main game, which is full of beautiful cities/dungeons and puzzles and a dystopian, otherworldian storyline.

Do you play fetch with your furry little roomie? Zara, my cat, likes to chase rubber balls. Those super bounce ones you used to find in bubblegum machines?

She runs around the house with one in her mouth. Batting them into walls and chasing them across the floor.

She'll walk up, set the ball down and look to me to throw it. It's very funny and we both seem to enjoy the time. I have had cats my whole life and I'm familiar with them. But I haven't had a cat play fetch before. I'm just curious if others have this experience with their cats?

@lolgop What is their reason for restricting contraceptives (and the ability to prevent pregnancies) when fewer pregnancies means fewer abortions? It doesn't make any sense.

Every year I get knocked on my back by migraines in February and every year it takes me by surprise. Allergies? Daylight shifts?

@andrew I take sumatriptan on really bad days, and I take Benadryl every day regardless, but I have noticed that if I periodically take a decongestant (Mucinex D) and a NSAID (Aleve or something), that can prevent the pressure in my head from becoming a full blown migraine. This is great, because I don't like the side effects of sumatriptan.

Migraines are awful. Good luck this month.

@stefan I use Mastodon in a mobile web browser. I wish I could see alt-text on other people's images, but I can't figure out how.

I am going to try to finish building a miniature cat cafe this weekend, and maybe I can get my older daughter to play some more "It takes two" with me. It's such a fun video game.

@cliffwade I'm going to give it to my work friend. I bought it in 2021 to build with my daughters. We were spending an extended time in Houston because my grandmother was in hospice. We are moving to Chicago later this year, so I've been getting rid of anything we don't need, and I wasn't sure what to do with it. I thought maybe I should just throw it away because we never finished it, but my co-worker loves cute cat things and can keep it in her office. It's been fun to work on this winter. :)

Hey my fellow weirdos with livestock, how are you coping with this freeze? I’m in Texas, and this last bout of 15 degree weather blew my mind with watering issues. It’s not supposed to get that cold here. I can’t get a grip!

How's the weather in your part of the world right now?

As you see here, it's 15F/-9C currently here in Winston Salem, NC.

The wife is staying inside all bundled up. I was outside for a bit earlier as I went for a short walk to enjoy the cold. It's not too windy outside so that makes a difference.

If anyone else just left their dog outside in the snow, I might think it was being abused. But this dog won't come inside when there's snow and I only have so much interest in chasing a dog around in the snow.
