@bdsint There's absolutely nothing in the Convention that can justify or amminorate the crime of genocide. If you claim you want to destroy all Gazans, and then kill all gazan combatants, you're guilty of the crime of genocide.

@bdsint Because it's irrelevant. You aren't supposed to talk about anything you want in a court. The fact that they only focus in the relecant topics means that they should be taken seriously. The opposite is true for the lawyers that defend , who kept invoking the Holocaust and Oct 7 instead of refuting South Africa's allegations with facts.

@AndrewR1234 The term is aptly used in reference to the actuons of . There is a systemic annihilation of the people, the genocide is present both in the West Bank and in the Red Line. It's estimated that 5% of the Gazan population is dead, missing or under the rubble, and since the massacre is still ongoing, then this number is going to become higher. The IOF's mission is not limited. They've even killed hostages and civilians wearing white flags. 1/2 @palestine

The "we massacred 25+ thousands of people because hides beneath them" is also false. The has destroyed more than 70% of all residences of , as well as all hospitals. It's just mathematically impossible for a tiny fraction of the population to be hidden in the majority of the territory.

@nicholas_saunders According to Israel, there are 300 000 members of Hamas, less than 7% of all Gazans. If, supposedly, a residential building becomes a legitimate military target if there's a combatant (and note that not everyone in Hamas is) below it, that means that no more than 7% can become legal targets. Note that these are a lot of "if"s, and that not all Hamas combatants are gone, despite the bombings. @palestine

I've also known both vegetarian and non-vegetarian christians who cite the Bible to justify their diets.
Ultimately, white supremacy is rooted in class interest, not in religion. Beta Israel isn't genociding the Palestinians.
