    The Capitalist system prioritizes military interests and profit over the well-being of the impoverished. The needs and cries of the poor can not continue to be ignored. We need a decentralized, classless society where resources are collectively managed to ensure everyone's basic needs are met. We need a system that promotes equitable distribution and focuses on meeting basic human needs rather than engaging in conflict.

    Whether resources are private or state owned is irrelevant. There is poverty and war in every human system. It always comes down to who decides who gets what and accountability. "Collectively managed" is arm waving. No one is accountable. It produces the same crappy results. Worse even. Definition of what constitutes 'basic human needs' varies widely. Should humans living in a desert be guaranteed access to water? Or should they be moved whether they want to or not?

    It's a lovely vision. I do dismiss it as impractical. Humanity, myself as an obvious example, is not known for observing and working nuanced principles without power struggle and conflict blowing it up. Every time. If the essence of collective management is leadership as a social process there is no reason it can't work in certain use cases but writ large it's not practical.

    Appreciate your calm measured tolerance of my opinions. 500 characters at a time..

    To my mind, there’s no doubt that jihadist factors behind #Hamas would gladly let #Palestinians die for their cause. Their attack makes no sense otherwise.

    I fear it will turn out to be nothing more than a cruel PR campaign to recruit more #jihadists, in which the Palestinian people’s role will be to simply to be collateral that can be said to have died by Israel.

    But. The campaign is far from over. What will determine if they are to be successfull or not will be how #Israel finishes this.
