Okay #Fediverse, let’s get something straight. We are all grown ups here (hopefully) and can make choices for ourselves. We alive in a society that allows us the freedom to choose for ourselves what to do.

Why would you allow or want to be part of an instance where they choose for you who or what to block? I understand that there are BAD people on #Meta, just as there are on EVERY platform on the internet.

Give the regular people on each platform a chance to been seen.

It’s crazy to believe that I've surpassed 800 followers here on Mastodon! On that other site, I had over 6.1K but never had the engagement I am having here. Numbers don’t matter, quality does!

So I’ve been trying to use Apple Notes as my notes “Brain” so to say. I keep finding myself wanting to go back to Notion due to the lack of functionality in Apple Notes.

I’m thinking about switching apps. What does everyone use as their go to note taking/organizing app?

Some that I’m considering is Drafts, Bear, and Obsidian.

I honestly have to disagree with this. I have been on Bluesky for a little while now and haven’t really found it to be as fun, engaging, or active as I have here. It is a whole different experience and world over there. I try to post over there and it’s crickets 🦗. Also, just got back from my wife's wound care appt. Her wound was indeed a brown recluse bite.

They debrided it...that was painful and quite nasty (but interesting to watch). Possible 8 weeks of follow ups.

Well I haven’t had much luck with the past two #Lemmy servers I have signed up on. They both have been overloaded, and rightly so, due to all this crap happening with Reddit.

Hey my programming friends, I have a question. My daughter is taking a C class in college and is using CLion to write her stuff. One of the comments her professor keeps saying is “remember to work in a Unix environment.”

I’ve always used an IDE when I program so I’m not sure what that means. Anyone able to help?

I have always been a huge fan of this franchise but I have heard mixed reviews of this movie and I’m not sure about Jason Mamoa as a villain. Guess I’ll see after a bit.

For me, I have some new news. I got a job at the beginning of the week and have been just getting incorporated with it. I’m an IT Tech Support Specialist for a local company here. I over see our clients and take care of the managed services.
