"the case is notable because Fox Corporation—the parent company of Fox News— is directly paying the family of a Supreme Court justice, which neither Barrett nor her husband are required to disclose."

The rot in the court is a feature of the Federalist Society, not a bug. As long as there is a pipeline for FedSoc to put right wing activists into the court, you'll have this corruption.

Once again, the importance of a free press is proven.

" Fox Corporation—the parent company of Fox News— is directly paying the family of a Supreme Court justice, which neither Barrett nor her husband are required to disclose."

' Why would a media company based in New York City hire a lawyer based in D.C. for a lawsuit filed by a man in Illinois?'

This article explains how the extremists succeeded and how the Palestinians were not only trampled upon by the settlers but also by the Israeli government.

I have always been interested in how Hitler came to power. Then happened. Like the German guy, Trump failed the first time, but the trend was clear: Republicans followed him in mass.

Now, Republican politicians have made the next step.

is formed by its separation of powers. Politicians make laws, and an independent judiciary enforces them.

House Speaker Johnson and others passed that line this week, feeling entitled to intervene in a criminal case.

The people who warn us most about what a second Trump presidency would do are often people who were on his staff or who worked with him.

In his legal cases, most witnesses are Republicans.

Mattis, Trump's own Defence Secretary, eventually didn't go to the White House anymore as he considered Trump “a madman in a circular room screaming.”

Too many people consider their university study to be a vocational school.

But a good university does more than preparing you for a job. It is not a trade school.

As this teacher says: it is meant to provoke your curiosity, to expand your horizons.

"The danger and consequences locally and globally of electing the Golden Spoon Bully for a second time must be stressed every hour of every day between now and Nov. 5.

That’s because this election is, first and foremost, a matter of national security at home and abroad, and Trump poses a grave threat to both.

A victory this fall by Trump threatens the end of American democracy as we have known it for some 250 years."

To people who say that Israel's war on Gaza is legitimate, I ask to read these numbers and ask themselves if Israel still holds the moral high ground.

"More Children Have Died In Gaza War Than Killed By Conflict Worldwide In 4 Years."

  • after Oct. 7, 90% of the world stood behind Israel. Now the majority is shocked about their atrocious actions

  • Over 30,000 dead. Over 2 million without house or income, starving.

Is it worth it?
Is it moral?

Written by a Jew born in 1948, worthwhile for anybody who wants the Israeli/Palestine conflict summarized:

Nonviolent resistance has failed. Israel left Palestinians with few options besides violent resistance. The many Palestinians who hate Hamas are afraid to say so. The thugs would torture and kill them. Meanwhile, every innocent killed by Israel creates more recruits. Hamas is not, as Israel says, a snake. It is a Hydra. Cut off 1 head, more will grow in its place.

If I made a deal (snitch?) with the prosecutors about my involvement in illegally arranging alternate slates of Republican electors, I would be as honest as possible.

But here we are.

Chesebro now probably does not have a deal anymore and will most likely also face perjury charges.

Answering 'no' on the questions 'Do you have any social media presence?' 'Any alternate IDs?' appears not to be a very viable strategy when you spout legal nonsense on a Twitter account.

  • fruit trees, olive orchards
  • schools and universities
  • hospitals and other healthcare
  • 'safe' evacuation paths

One of the problems with Trump is that his Administration was so corrupt and there were so many mishaps, that we forget a lot.

In light of Republicans not wanting to help Ukraine fight one of the USA's main adversaries, this is worth remembering:

'A binder with nearly 3,000 pages of highly classified material related to the investigation of Russian interference and links between Moscow and Donald Trump went missing in the final days of his presidency.'

Back before the Reagan Revolution … a third of America had a good union job, our schools were brand-new and well supplied and staffed, college was free, healthcare was inexpensive, and the biggest challenge America had was to put a man on the moon and bring him safely home — there was little demand for a dictator in this country.
… For the majority of white Americans to adopt a strongman authoritarian, first the country had to be broken and broken badly.

To get people to vote for a dictator, you first have to remove the benefits that a good government offers.

The information below shows how money creates money while policies do not take care of the rest.

Nobody can fully conceptualize how enormously much a billion US$ is.
Therefore this also shows that there is a level of richness that is beyond insane.

2023: $249B

Jeff Bezos’s Wealth

Mark Zuckerberg’s Wealth

The problem is that Israel has lost the reputation that we could trust their information.

What we see happening in front of our eyes, is horrendous.

While killing thousands and thousands, including women and children, Israel keeps claiming that there is nothing that they can do.

In just a few weeks, the Israeli leadership destroyed the unconditional support we granted them for 70 years. And after the Hamas attack, we were all in their corner.
