Driving a friend to hospital today. She has a bleed in her eye. Hoping all ok but also if I'm truly honest rather her than me! I'm utterly terrified of having anything done to my eyes. #Mastodon#Fediverse#eyes
Be My Eyes is a free mobile app with one main goal: to make the world more accessible for blind and low-vision people. The app connects blind and low-vision individuals with sighted volunteers and companies from all over the world through a live video call.
Can eyesight deteriorate from lack of these and then if not restored, be improved by increasing your intake of them?
I say this because I’ve witnessed an improvement in my eyesight over the past week which has coincided with taking a multivitamin, but I have no idea which vitamin or nutrient is responsible!
I’d put the deterioration in my sight down to age last week because that was what the optometrist told me. I’m now not sure.
Optometry student Jeremiah Hyslop was taken aback in his Clinical Techniques lab at the University of Waterloo when he was handed a vision test card and read what was written on it.
Of all the places where it was necessary to feel safe, he thought, surely it should be in a healthcare setting.
Yet here he was holding a healthcare tool that challenged such sensitivity.
