Climate hypocrisy due to organized in a nutshell:
“For those who are listening, in one ear the science is telling us calmly to change now, and fast. But in the other, advertising tells us, relentlessly and enthusiastically, to carry on as we are, living heavily polluting lifestyles and buying high-carbon products.”

The adverts are selling you a ticket to disaster:

Pressure on from climate scientists and activists to act on has failed to work for decades. But you know what will focus attention? The market.

Voters may not care about 1.5C limits or island nations disappearing: they can scoff at press releases and buy into conspiracy theories all they want. But paying more for cover is going to start focusing middle-income voters, and they are NOT going to be happy.

Why is climate denial still thriving online?

Ten “superpolluter” publishers, among them 'n state media and right wing news site, , are the source of 69% of interactions with content on . These “toxic ten” publish overt climate denial and amplifies it on Facebook to “prevent consensus on facts and solutions”.
And further amplifies this content...

#Portland #pdx has been breaking-in a fresh new #pdxTraffic commissioner (with no bureau director for 6 months...), and Mingus Mapps seems to still be focused on the stack of boondoggle carway projects #PBOT has put in front of him. Seems to think that the members of the Bike + Pedestrian Advisory Committees are here to lobby for more funding for the bureau of traffic to continue the status quo of maintaining the whole transportation system for #cars1stAlwaysOnly. We need to get out of the mindset that are expensive (or that they look like ) and the dangerous ones are a force of nature that we have to keep spending all the money on. When you count the cars per day on the street and always allocate at least as many lanes as your manual says they need, and every mile driven costs you money... of course your budget is a disaster.

I am curious to see what all the climate activist bigwigs will do - some set up briefly here but almost instantly returned, others just stayed on Twitter. It’s been a particularly disappointing dimension of this saga - more than activists came here. Will they now go to or stay on , forever battling there?

Last July, Gloninger, who has spent 18-years of his career covering climate change as well as the weather and became KCCI’s chief meteorologist in 2021, shared a series of disturbing emails he received regarding his coverage."
