"Michael, are you going to offer a vmst.io version of Lemmy or kbin?!”

No. As has been stated before, I'm all in on Mastodon. But I want all flavors of Fediverse enabled app, so I have zero problems with supporting other peoples instances when I know they're good.

For kbin, you should look at https://fedia.io which is run by @jerry

For Lemmy, take a look at https://lemmy.world which is run by @ruud

I'm sure there are other great options, but I know these two know their stuff.

@octofloofy @kainoa @vmstan Calckey is great! I just hope that would fully add account migrations so I can leave for Calckey later.

@ciela @kainoa yeah, but I'm still using as my main until it fully supports account migration, then I can leave MKAB later.

suspended a user who's been here for quite a while. i had neglected to check on reports for a while since i don't get too many and this one user had like 20 reports, and he was telling people to kill themselves or hang themselves.

@thor @LupusGelupus #Calckey, and #Akkoma have the feature. #Foundkey is expected to feature account migration later.

Im having a really hard time opening CWs on ( fork) on (). I tap on them and they just wont open. I have to go to the original instance of the post for it to work

jo,

@edendestroyer Foundkey is a Misskey fork. Calckey has some elements of Foundkey added to it. You're probably better asking a dev what's changed to bring about this behaviour.

maxeddy, to fediverse

I am old fashioned in that I genuinely like client applications, which is why I tried 18 apps on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. These were the best ones.

Bigou,

@maxeddy Wish someone would do the same with apps for the services known as "the ". (, & , 3 services also based on , like Mastodon)

Not that there is much "key compliant" apps, like there is for Masto.

j, to fediverse

Still amused by all the posts declaring that " will never get any traction" because it doesn't have [insert completely unnecessary Twit feature here]. It's like people think Masto just suddenly appeared out of the ether six months ago. It's been here for years, and it's just fine. 😂

Bigou,

@j That, and is far from the only service of the . You have , the (, & ), , , , …

Most of which offer more functions than Masto does, and often add fuctions Twitter never had. (… Or have long since removed.)

Today is the day I talk about what is and what it does. 🧵

In this thread, I will explore what I believe to be the most important features of Calckey.

SPOILER ALERT: While Calckey focuses on microblogging, that's where its similarities with (and ) end.

@fediversenews

caos,

@benoegen In (and also in & )) there is the feature of "Antennas". This allows you to define (and combine) keywords to follow - more than just following hashtags. @atomicpoet

@Kaiteki @caos

@crafti wovon überrascht? von oder von @gnulinux ? 😁

? (also in Bezug auf Foundkey)

I'm pretty sure Mastodon is the first social network I've been on that didn't immediately ask me to betray all of the people in my address book.

There are also the following in the middleweight category:

You can find a great list here: https://codeberg.org/fediverse/delightful-fediverse-apps For example, maybe a writing-centric platform might be more fitting (depending on what you have in mind).
