I am ordering today to give it a try. I do have a few work days where I have to wear a mask for extended periods, so staying hydrated has been a challenge (my job is physical).
I have seen posts from other Mastodonians saying they have used these on plane flights and avoided catching any and all bugs. Cool!

Today it happened. A fear I have had since the pandemic started....
...I sneezed inside my mask.
The horror. The ick.
But I still kept it on for the whole way back home, and endured the heat, the stickiness, the sensory overload - all because I don't want to get sick or give spread sickness.

¹ I've learned that this is about #peerPressure and #cognitiveDissonance. As a queer/ND/disabled veganarchist, I might be less susceptible to these effects, partly because I'm just used to stand out & don't give a fuck about social norms. Nevertheless, the power of these effects and the regular clashes of cognitive realities I experience daily are quite frightening.
Took some time this afternoon to organize my Covid-19 articles document, read the articles cued up in my tabs, & send an article on the intersection of disability justice & Covid-19 policy/attitudes to the folks who ask me if I will be masking forever.
I want a future where we protect everyone's health & safety. If that's something that you want, match your politics with real actions & mask up. You do you is eugenics.
