current reads: THE NATURALS by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (been on my forever) and MO DU (Silent Reading) by Priest. Both have a lot of murder, both are really well-crafted, I am kinda suffering because I don't do well with violence against women.

Holy shit, I think I've finished final edits on my new book 'Migration', an indigenous-scifi YA novel. It's been months since I got changes back from my editor at Huia Publishers and even longer since I first started writing the damn thing, back in 2017??

I've been working on it off and on in between other projects, and it's almost done, fucking yay me!!

S is for SECONDHAND ORIGIN STORIES by Lee Brontide

Free book? Free book! And it is an incredible one. SOS (nice anagram) is a YA about the children of famous superheroes, it's got an incredible queer (& often disabled) cast, and it's full of family secrets. HIGHLY recommend!

S is for THE SOUND OF STARS by Alechia Dow

Back to YA sci-fi and Alechia Dow's wonderful work with this alien invasion story starring a Black biromantic demisexual MC with a secret library. Also: alien/human roadtrip, lots of music and book nerdery, and an instance of two demisexual relating to each other through their aceness that was super well done.

Hi All, I've switched servers so it's time again! I'm a and currently living in Minneapolis. MN, USA. I write speculative ranging from ghost-laden mysteries to magical thrillers to stuff that's just, well, weird. Lately I've been wanting to write more short stories or flash.

Photography-wise, I'm up for anything, but expect a lot of pics of small animals, both wild and domestic. Here are a few faves:

Bumblebee gathering nectar from a lavender flower.
Tabby and white cat with green eyes looking at the camera and yawning.
