Given how many contests, anthologies and magazines are currently struggling with a flood of / -generated spam, have you heard about anyone trying to fight the problem by asking specifically for stories which AI cannot easily write?

Even the best models I've tried cannot easily use themes, symbols and structures - they always come out unnatural.

Are there any specific limitations, formats that can work similarly?

Had some fun redesigning my anthology cover. Just need to decide when to actually release it! 😅

The kickstarter for Bitter Become the Fields, an anthology of flora/fungi horror, ends in less than 48 hours. My ghost story The Last Trench appears in it. It looks like a fantastic collection. I pitched the idea of a mastodon comic anthology a bit ago. This got a good response. And as an avowed indie DIY type.. that means it's time to make a book! If you'd like to contribute 1-4 pages of comics to me via DM. These can be published elsewhere already as long as you retain rights to do so. You'll retain all rights in any dealings with me. (Creators > Publishers!) 300dpi or better is nice for printing. We'll get everything together with an intro and a nice cover. Provide a PDF to all and distribute via Amazon at print cost. Deadline: 5/1. Any questions? Just ask!

These stories take place above and below the streets of . They explore the connection between strangers, the assumptions we make, and how overlooked encounters have unforeseen effects.

Sounds interesting? Link in bio.

The Tower is a residential high-rise aiming to be sustainable both technologically and socially. A mixed-use development, with a grocery shop, a community center, laundromat, library, kindergarten.

A slice of a Solarpunk city, a neighborhood in itself.

Anthology of Modern Palestinian Literature

This anthology offers samples from the works of over 70 Palestinian writers and poets living in Israel, such as Emile Habiby, a laureate of the 1992 Israel Prize; in the occupied territories; and in the diaspora. Foremost among the themes are nostalgia and loss of homeland, which the editor considers the essence of the Palestinian experience.
